Whether you're considering an off-grid lifestyle or simply looking for a peaceful escape, we offer an opportunity to experience life beyond the distractions of the modern world.

Our vision is to create a welcoming place where people can step away from the demands of everyday life, reconnect with nature, and experience the freedom that comes with living more simply. Through authentic off-grid experiences, we hope to inspire a deeper appreciation for the land, self-reliance, and the possibilities of a different way of life.

CABIN RENTALS
Our cozy off-grid cabin offers a warm and welcoming escape from the pace of modern life. Sleeping up to four guests, it features a wood stove for warmth, comfortable seating, a dining area, and a small fridge stocked with coffee, tea, snacks, and drinking water. Enjoy evenings around your private fire pit, cook outdoors on the BBQ, and experience the peace of Northern BC's wilderness. Generator power is provided while our solar system is being completed, and homemade meals are available for an additional fee.

Life at The Rock Getaway follows the natural rhythms of the land, where each day is shaped by the simplicity of off-grid living. Mornings begin with the smell of fresh coffee by the wood stove, the soft clucking of free-range chickens, and the first light stretching over the hills. Days are filled with tending the garden, gathering firewood, and enjoying the quiet work that keeps the homestead running. Evenings invite you to unwind by your private firepit, watch the stars emerge, and embrace the peace that comes with living close to nature. Here, every moment is a chance to slow down, reconnect, and find joy in the little things.

Honouring the Land
The Rock Getaway is located within the traditional territory of the Tse'khene (Sekani) and Dakelh peoples, who have lived on, travelled through, and cared for this land since time immemorial. As a Haida woman, I am grateful for the opportunity to live, work, and share this beautiful place with others. I strive to honour the land and those who came before us through respect, stewardship, and gratitude for all that it provides.
