Welcome to The Rock Getaway!

For most of my life, I was busy raising a family, building a career, and keeping up with the pace of the modern world. Yet no matter where life took me, I always felt drawn back to something simpler.

As a Haida woman, I grew up with an understanding that we are connected to the land, not separate from it. Over the years, that connection became something I missed deeply. I found myself longing for quiet mornings, open spaces, meaningful work, and a life that felt more grounded and intentional.

Eventually, I decided it was time to stop dreaming and start living differently.

The Rock Getaway was born from that decision. It is the result of choosing a slower pace, embracing off-grid living, and creating a life that feels more aligned with my values. Here, I spend my days gardening, caring for animals, cooking homemade meals, and appreciating the simple things that are often lost in the rush of everyday life.

This isn't a resort designed to entertain you every minute of the day. It's a place to breathe. A place to wake up to birdsong instead of alarms, watch the stars instead of screens, and experience the kind of peace that comes from being surrounded by nature.
