Welcome to The Rock Getaway!

Since I was a kid, I’ve always felt a pull to live close to the land. The idea of waking up to fresh mountain air, growing my own food, and sitting around a fire under a sky full of stars has been with me for as long as I can remember. Now, in retirement, I finally have the chance to live that dream—and I want to share it with others.

The Rock Getaway isn’t just a place to stay; it’s an experience. It’s about stepping away from the rush of modern life and remembering what really matters—fresh air, good food, meaningful conversations, and a deep connection to the land. Here, you can see what off-grid living feels like before making the leap yourself, or just take a break and recharge in nature.

We live simply here. We raise chickens for eggs, grow a garden full of fresh vegetables, and embrace the rhythms of the seasons. The land provides, and in return, we respect and care for it. There’s something grounding about gathering your own food, cooking over a fire, and watching the sun set without the hum of traffic or city lights in the distance.
